REVIEWS AND FEEDBACK

Neath Port Talbot Cancer Challenge Singers 10th Anniversary concert - 14th November 2009

Thank you so much for participating in the concert last Saturday. It was a huge success not least due to Dragon Strings. Your performance delighted the choir and audience alike and we were left wanting more - always a good sign!

Cor y Gyrlais Vice President's concert - 12th September 2009

On behalf of the choir, may I congratulate the ensemble for a fantastic performance. It doesn't need me to quantify your contribution to the success of the concert as a whole, the audience told you that. As you have said, the variety within the programme created an atmosphere geared towards success. We all felt a sense of pride in being part of such a memorable occasion.

Thanks all for a fantastic evening at Margam Orangery 14 July 09. Very, very impressed.
Tom Jones medley favourite! I don't know how you did it but I swear I could hear lyrics coming from those cool instruments. Thanks again, the Jones's.

All Hallows Eve Masquerade Ball
- 31st October 2008

On behalf of the children, staff and trustees at Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales please accept our sincere
thanks for ‘Dragon Strings’ wonderful performance on Friday evening at the All Hallows Eve Masquerade Ball.
The feedback from the event has been wonderful and we had lots of lovely comments on Dragon Strings’ playing.
I cannot thank you enough for your professionalism and flare!  Although money is still coming in from
the Ball we estimate we will have raised over £2500 for children in Wales who have cerebral palsy.

Corris Music Festival review - August 2008

"It is difficult to describe the events of Tuesday 26th. The evening began with The Dragon Strings.
These were 6 electric violins, 1 electric viola, 2 electric cellos, one electric double bass and a set of electric drums.
All plugged into 4 x 400 watt speakers. The sound was unbelievable.
The eight girls and three boys gave a performance that will go down in Corris history."

BBC Wales - August 2008

"Undoubtedly the discovery of the festival were the Dragon Strings..."

St. David's Church, Neath - 6th July 2008

Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council - Press Release

"A standing ovation and shouts of encore for an ensemble making their debut performance greeted the Dragon Strings
Electric String Ensemble when they completed their programme on the final night of the popular Neath Festival.
A packed St David's Church witnessed the start of what should be a long career for the talented musicians
who performed an eclectic mix of music that will entertain and delight audiences of all ages and tastes. Starting
with Handel's The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba the group took us through a musical tour of the ages which included
the traditional Hava Nagila, Leroy Anderson's Blue Tango to later modern classics from Abba and Queen.
A superb night of entertainment and a fitting one to close this years festival."

Neath Guardian - Thursday 17th July 2008

"Musical director Rachel Webley and Dragon Strings can be proud of their performance which resulted
as an idea they had only a few months ago in March. We hope they return to Neath very soon.
To coin a popular phrase at the moment, Neath’s Got Talent."
